Thanks to 34017 Ilfracombe, I thought I would start a new thread.

Which Bulleids lost their nameplates towards the end and how long before steam start to disapear? I've seen numerous photos in the early 60's of bulleids without their nameplates and at different times during the 60's? Does anyone have anymore information/listing etc....

Thanks in advance

Funny you should ask - 34001 lost her driver's side plate late one evening in Clapham carriage siding circa 1965! No idea where it ended up - but I sure would like to know.

Someone I would imagine stole it? Alot I heard have gone missing in the past, especially towards the end of steam...

Hi admin,

I guess that's what must have happened - I'd still love to know who does have the driver's side plate from 34001 - 'cos it's nae me who's got it!

If I had a plate I guess it would have to be Blue Funnel!!

I definately think that is what happened - And it wasn't me, cos i'm only 31 this year and steam was in its glory - Long before I was even thought off!!

Maybe we should all go for a hunt about for these long lost original plates?

Talking about plates - Which Bulleids have their Original plates today - As far as i am aware - I think this stands at zero????
