Light Pacific boilers.
Hi all
I was wondering recently if the boilers from the light pacifics were able to be used on both original and rebuilt loco's or were they once rebuilt only to be used on rebuilt examples?
Pete

Re: Light Pacific boilers.
I believe they are interchangeable. SLL recently considered using Sidmouth's boiler on 257 Squadron as a way of shortening the time needed for 257 Squadron's current overhaul. This was decided against as Sidmouth's probably needs more work. The smokeboxes and exhaust steam pipes are completely different.
