35018 - British India Line

As to the above that I posted; I have come across this following Photo. Will 35018 be outshopped with these modifications as she was previously?

Something I have come across regarding 35018 before she left the Midhants Railway!

Work done at the MHR to 35018 prior to 1998;

1: Refurbished axle boxes, front bogie and pony truck(although not done to mainline standard) in the 1980`s, the loco spent an age jacked up at the back of Ropley shed centre road.
2: Fully repaired cab involving extensive re-skinning.
3: The re bushing of the entire brake gear.
4: Manufacture and repair of most of the boiler cladding, cylinder cladding and running plates.
5: Full cylinder and valve rebore.
6: The manufacture of an entire set of motion at Datong in China, although this is not likely to be used as it will not be suitable for mainline use.

What wasn't touched much was the boiler. Again when last enquired during the late 1990`s it was reckoned to be 12/18 months from completion.

Does anyone have a photo of 35018's Nameplate that I could use please? I have checked on google, but unable to locate a Head-on shot?

Hi everyone,
Does anybody know if this is Gospel that 35018 British India Line will be overhauled by the end of November 2014?
Also what is the status of the Overhaul??

Any news on 35018?

Hi all,

With 35018 having been scheduled for a few mainline tours this year and now showing as cancelled. Does anyone know why this is? Is her return to mainline standards the issue or are there other factors?

Does anyone know where there might be any pictures of her return since the 60's? It all seems to be a mystery?

Any Information please as it all seems to be "Hush, Hush"?....
For about the last 2 years now she has been showing on Uksteam.info...

Not my photos, but here is the latest progress on 35018..... Cannot wait to see her in Steam! She is apparently on the final stretch to being steamed since the 60's! So will it be next year or latter part of this year?

Does anyone know if she is expected to do her runs in the middle part of the year? If so, I can't wait to see another one on the mainline!
