I have just found this; http://www.transporttrust.com/10019.html - Not sure how true this or even how old it is?
From what I understand 34058 is undergoing a slow restoration and the Avon Valley... We all know how long it has taken for 35006 to get to the stage she has? So possibly the same for this loco?

From what I can gather the Avon Valley Railway have done a considerable amount of work since 2000. From an update in 2007 the Dome was removed from the boiler for work to be done on the Regulator and was prepared for a Boiler examination. Does anyone know if this exam was done? The boiler was considerably sound. Also from what I can gather there are Tender wheelsets available to go with the loco that were delivered from SLL. Good news all in all. Which obviously steaming shouldn't be many years away from?

It is good to see that the transfer of the loco to the MHR is now underway and should be completed by the end of this month. It would appear that work will initially concentrate on building the tender before moving to the loco.

34058 has now arrived at the MHR. Fantastic news. Does anyone know when overhaul is to commence?
Re: 34058 Sir Frederick Pile
Hi - Does anyone know which parts have been made and have been sourced from when the loco was at the AVR?
Re: 34058 Sir Frederick Pile
Some very good news on 34058 as the locomotive has now been donated to the MHR by the owner / owning group, hopefully this very useful loco will now move up the restoration ladder!

Hi everyone,
Does anyone know if 34058 has been moved into the shed at Ropley yet? I have just checked on the Midhants Railway website and it states that it is Under Overhaul, but I thought it was still down at Alresford? Here is the link; http://preservation.watercressline.co.uk/stock/view/34058-sr-rebuilt-battle-of-britain-class-sir-frederick-pile
