Hello from another newbie
Hello, I have just joined.
A few years ago I worked on the restoration of 35010 Blue Star (and also Black Five 45293) when both of those locos were at North Woolwich. They are both now at the Colne Valley, so nowadays I am more into 7 1/4" gauge railways, working at the Great Cockcrow Railway & the Acton Miniature Railway. However I still have a soft spot for 35010, having spent so much time with her, so I joined this site to follow her progress.

Hi there! A huge welcome to the forum.
Do you have any information with regards to the progress of 35010? Or possibly know anyone who is involved with the loco?

Thank you very much for the nice welcome.
I spent a fair bit of time working on 35010's restoration doing such jobs as grinding the ends of boiler tubes and needle gunning the boiler. The loco eventually moved to the Colne Valley and I got married and moved to west London, so 35010 was no longer local to me. Part of my reason for joining this site was to find out what the latest situation is. The last I heard was that she was a "static" exhibit. Sad, but one day she will steam again, I'm sure.
