Hi guys

I've decided that (given time!) I'm going to have a crack at modelling the MPD. With the release of all those lovely detailed Hornby's in the last few years I'd love to do this in OO scale but as size may dictate scale, I guess it could well end up being N gauge.

One of the problems I have is locating accurate plans, descriptions and good colour photos of all the infrastructure and elements that make up the yard and its associated buildings. Finding locomotives to fill the tracks is the easy bit!

For example - the coaling stage - was this structure a one-off or a design employed elsewhere? Excuse the question but how eactly did it work? How high was it? And so on. You can see the enormity of the task!

So I'm hopeful there are a few of you on here that can help me out with this.

Do please let me know if you have any plans, photos or even can describe what could be found where.

Thanks and regards
Martin

Hi Andy.

I'd found that one on the web previously but thanks for posting. I just need all the detail surrounding that track layout now!

Hi Martin,

Did you ever make a start on this? I would definitely love to see some photos of it.

All the best
