This is slightly off the regular news etc.... But I am looking at doing an activity for MSTS and would like to know if anyone has details of Bulleid's based at Bournemouth or ones that were regulars please?
Thanks in advance

Hi Andy, it's a complicated question to answer, and of course it varied over the years. Richard Derry's books will tell you shed history of each loco, but you'd have to collate the overall position for a given date from each loco's date.

Here's a start:

Eddystone was based there: 11/3/59 - 24/9.62
Sir Keith Park was there from 10/3/60 till withdrawn 17/10/65.

None of the others close to my heart were shedded there, though anything at Weymouth, Eastleigh, Basingstoke or Nine Elms would probably have popped in for coal now and then.

Of course the other way would be to get hold of an Ian Allan Locoshed Book for a given year, but I don't have any of those.
