Not sure how this thread moved on to Manston's nameplates, but I can assure that that the plates on 34070 are replicas, as are all of the plates running on SLL's locos.

A friend of mine has been involved with Manston from the early days - his young daughter painted the buffer bream while it was still at Dai Woodham's . He got the name plates from where they were being stored at R.A.F. Hendon, along with other "BoB" nameplates, in exchange for a donation to an R.A.F. charity.

Re: 35005 Overhaul
Hi all,
Is it true from what I've heard that 35005 is going to be fitted out for mainline use again? If so, that is fantastic news.... And here was me debating after getting a job of becoming Mainline Support Crew on Clanline!.... May also have to on my favourite loco
Cheers
Andy
